QA Automation Engineer

We have a great opportunity for an outstanding QA Automation Engineer.

MoneyThumb enables lenders and accountants to instantly convert and analyze PDF financial documents.  We offer SaaS, API, and desktop products used by hundreds of companies every day and we’re rapidly gaining market share.  We’re looking for someone to join our fast-expanding team and to grow with us.

In this position, you will work with our Product and Engineering teams to ensure that we release only the best-quality products to our customers.

This is a full time, remote position but with a preference for candidates located near San Diego, CA. Contract or W2 to be determined.  Applicants must be located in the U.S. and authorized to work for any U.S. employer. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa at this time.

In this role, you will:

• Own the quality assurance function
• Learn our product and how our customers use it.
• Develop a quality assurance program in conjunction with Product and Engineering
• Create automated regression tests for our web product
• Execute those tests and help us understand the results
• Conduct manual tests where necessary
• Also test API, back-end, and salesforce components

The successful candidate will have:

• 5+ years web test automation
• The ability to communicate clearly in English and to work in a team
• Exceptional problem-solving skills
• The ability to give and receive feedback in a professional manner
• The initiative and desire to learn and take on new responsibilities

Experience in the following would be ideal:

• API testing and test automation
• Desktop testing and test automation
• Backend testing and test automation
• Starting up a brand new quality assurance program
• Cypress (preferred) or Selenium
• Lending or accounting
• Remote work
